Welcome to Our New Website

Dear Readers & Colleagues,
I am very much pleased to welcome you all to our new website. The Ministry of Civil Service (MoCiS) comes into being only for about a month and a half now. Young as we are our roots however is not that young. This new institution is a product of a merger of two old organizations:namely, the former Ministry of Capacity Building (10 years) and the former Civil Service Agency (60 yearsor above)

We are now responsible for the entire Federal Civil Service directly while we are indirectly but collabor atively work with regional Civil Service Bureaus. Our main agenda is to:

Create an effective & efficient Civil Service that can
serve the purpose of Democratic Developmental State.

This can not be achieved within a fortnight. It requires continuous and successive injections of reform progr ams for many years to come. Reform must be taken as an instrument for continuous growth and development. Grow th and developmentshall be considered primarily for our valued employees and secondly for our organizations. Of course, the two are inseparable, though what I ment is to give more attention to the wellness of our employees who equally have great interest to develop our country.

This Government is a highly reformist government and there is no government without civil service. The two are inseparable. If government is reformist, then must be the civil service. Transforming the current situation of our civil service is transforming the country. Together, let’s strive for this holy purpose.
